Boot Ranch sits just north of Fredericksburg, about six miles from Main Street, behind a staffed gate. It is the Hill Country's best-known private golf community, and homes there are some of the finest in Gillespie County.
The setting
Homesites spread across rolling ranch land with long views of the Hill Country. Architecture leans to native limestone, standing-seam metal roofs and big walls of glass that open to pools and outdoor kitchens. Many homes include a casita or guest house.
The club
The golf course was designed by Hal Sutton. Beyond golf, members enjoy a large clubhouse, Longhorn Lake, a racquet center, fitness facilities and heated pools with bar service. Membership details and costs are set by the club, so confirm current terms before you buy. On some resales, a membership has been included in the purchase price.
Buying in Boot Ranch
- Access is private, so showings are arranged through the listing agent with the guard house.
- HOA dues and club membership are separate costs to budget for.
- Deed restrictions shape what you can build and how you can use the home, including rentals.
