Our 2026 Travels: Scotland, Park City, Disney World and Getting Married in Europe

David and I love to travel. Italy is my favorite place in the world and Scotland is his, and 2026 has been our biggest travel year yet. Coming home to Fredericksburg after every trip is still my favorite part. Here is a look back.

Scotland for Valentine's Day

We spent Valentine's Day in Scotland, and it was everything. We stayed at The Witchery by the Castle in Edinburgh, and it was amazing: dark, romantic and unlike any hotel I have ever stayed in. David's favorite part of the whole trip was the Scotland vs. England rugby match in Edinburgh. The crowd, the singing and the energy were unreal. Add a cold Guinness and fish and chips, and he was one happy husband.

Spring Break Skiing in Park City

For spring break, we took the whole family skiing in Park City, Utah. The kids did ski school, and watching them finish it was the highlight of the trip for me.

Disney World with the Kids

This summer we took the kids to Disney World. We stayed at the Grand Floridian and did all four parks: Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom. There is nothing like seeing it all through their eyes.

Our Wedding Trip to Europe

Then the big one. David and I went to Europe to get married. We said "I do" in Capri, and the trip took us through Italy, including Florence, plus Barcelona, Marseille in France and even Tunisia. Every stop was more beautiful than the last.
