I'm a huge Spurs fan. We were courtside season ticket holders, and I still love the courtside club and the energy of a game night in San Antonio. Being a Spurs fan is one of the best parts of living in the Hill Country: we get small-town life in Fredericksburg and an NBA team about an hour and a half away.

Going to a Game

The Spurs play at the Frost Bank Center, 1 Frost Bank Center Dr. in San Antonio. Here are my tips:

  • Buy parking ahead of time. You can add it when you buy tickets, and the lots are color coded, so note your color.
  • Know the bag rule. Bags need to be 12 x 12 x 6 inches or smaller.
  • Treat yourself to a club. The Frost Club and the Agave Club make a game feel like a special night out. Some need reservations, so plan ahead.
  • Get there early to watch warmups. It is fun for kids and adults.
  • Plan your drive home. It is an easy drive back to Fredericksburg, but it is a late night on a school night.

A New Arena Is Coming

Bexar County voters approved funding in November 2025 for a new downtown Spurs arena at Hemisfair. There is no official opening date yet, but the city's timeline points to around 2032. It is an exciting time to be a fan.

Where to Watch Spurs Games in Fredericksburg

Can't make the drive? Here are spots in town with TVs and a fun crowd on game night:

  • Fredericksburg Brewing Co., 245 E. Main St. The oldest operating brewpub in Texas.
  • Witcher Brewing Co., 9973 E. US 290. David's favorite: big TVs, a big lawn for the kids and a huge soft pretzel.
  • Grand Central at Milam, 206 N. Milam St. Outdoor screens.
  • The Barn at Rock House, 154 Rock House Dr. Big TVs in the bar and on the patio.
  • Cultures Grill & Bar, 318 E. Main St.
  • Sozial Haus, 107 S. Llano St.
  • West End Pizza Co., 207 E. San Antonio St.
